Dr. Samuel Nana Yaw Adutwum
Dr. Samuel Nana Yaw Adutwum has about twenty (20) years experience in Enterprise Development, Organizational Management, Business Strategy and Marketing. He is currently a Senior Consultant with John Young & Associates Consulting and was embedded in the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Ghana between 2017 and 2023 as a member of the Ministry’s Technical Support Group. The Group was responsible for Enterprise Development, Policy and Programme Design, Implementation, and Coordination for the Government of Ghana’s Industrial Transformation Agenda.
Before joining the Ministry in February 2017, Samuel undertook consulting assignments for global and national institutions and organizations including the World Bank, SNV Ghana, UNDP, DANIDA, Rural Enterprises Programme, IFAD and AfDB.
In addition, Samuel has significant consulting experience with the private sector, having undertaken a number of assignments in Ghana including as Business Assurance Advisor for Sunda Ghana Limited, Enterprise Development Consultant for Mmanab Company Limited, Business Analyst for the acquisition of Volta Star Textiles Limited, Enterprise Development Specialist for Birim Oil Mills Limited and Business Analyst for the Recapitalization Plan Preparation for Ayensu Starch Company Limited by Kinapharma Group and Falcon Investment Inc of USA.
Dr. Adutwum has a PhD in Marketing and Business Strategy from University of Hull, UK, an MBA from the same University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from Chartered Management Institute (CMI), UK. In addition, Samuel has an Economics degree from KNUST, Ghana and an HND in Marketing from Kumasi Technical University. His research interest covers Business Recovery, Business Competitiveness, Enterprise Development, Political Marketing and Communications.
